ANALYSIS AND COMMENTS
It should be noted that at 12 years of age, the ability to make assumptions on test data is limited.
The ‘across sample’ SD is 4.7 microns. At 12 years of age, this figure should be seen as below average. At this age, many alpacas would record ‘across sample SD’ at between 5.0 to 6.0 microns. It is reasonable to regard this alpaca as superior with regard to breeding for reducing variation between fibres and reducing incidence of coarse fibres.
Given the age of the alpaca, this alpaca is likely to be superior with regard to breeding for low fibre diameter. Many alpacas at this age have an AFD of between 25 to 30 microns.
The Micron Profile indicates a relatively steady rate of nutritional intake by fibre follicles.
This alpaca is likely to breed progeny for premium type fleeces.
As the above information is based on interpretation of individual data from supplied fibre samples, no responsibility can be accepted for any liability arising from reliance on the whole or part of this information.

Please note, the sample taken was a sample i had in a Photo Frame, of His Fleece.
As Stefano has now passed away, i could see his progeny being so consistent, with the genetic traits he constantly passed onto his progent.
THe sample was taken probably when he wasd older than 12 years.
and was approx.
